What Is EVV?

EVV is a system that may include multiple point-of-care verification technologies, such as telephonic, mobile, and web-based verification inputs. The system electronically verifies the occurrence of home- or community-based service visits, identifying the time that service provision begins and ends to ensure accurate claims disbursement and helping to ensure that beneficiaries who are authorized to receive services get the expected care.

How does EVV impact Venture Forthe?

It can be used to manage and monitor the delivery of home healthcare services. The switch from paper-based notations and patient monitoring to electronic records helps streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduces human error and fraud. Electronic Visit Verification at venture Forthe can help restore home care’s reputation, and ultimately lead to a higher quality of patient care. At Venture For the, we take EVV very seriously and continue to ensure our field staff know how to properly use EVV, and who to ask questions to if needed.

If you work at a client home and think you would benefit from a tablet

Call or text into EVV to request one, from there, it will be requested and then placed in the home by a VFI employee for future use

Variations to the schedule

If there is a variation to the schedule, scheduling needs to know. If you have to stay late to your shift, scheduling needs to be notified so they can adjust your block. Your punch times are based off the schedule so if they do not match up, they will get flagged. You should not clock out until you lay eyes on your relief and they are there. THIS IS IMPORTANT!

Working a double?

If staff are working a double. They need to punch out at the end of the “first shift” at its end time and punch back in and out of the “second shift”. Treat each shift as its own shift.
